The hotel seems to be between owners so no-one understandably is spending any money on the improvements needed. Our room faced a brick wall and the ceiling was badly stained, tv poor, remote control did not work, nor did the shower properly. We have stayed there many times in the past and have gone back because it was inexpensive and... More

We only stayed in the Old Brewery House for one night. We were attending a wedding locally and were in a bit of a rush to get there in time. We phoned the Old Brewery House ahead to explain that we needed a quick check in and that was no problem whatsoever. We arrived and the lady at reception had... More

Having returned from having a lovely restful break with friends I felt I must say how we found this hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is clean and tidy the breakfast is more than you can eat.as much toast, tea and coffee as you want.It is an old hotel I do not... More

Ok, so for £60 a night for a family of 4 including breakfast this is a bargain. It was clean and staff were very helpful, however Oxford hotels really need to spend some money here. Shower was a pitiful dribble (my pet hate). Bed was rock hard and pillows so thin you would get a better nights sleep in a... More

Very nice description of an old traditional inn on most booking sites, however they are far from reality! None mention of the fact that most of the bargain, discounted or late booking type availability rooms are in fact housed in an annex. On arrival we were eventually booked in by a friendly gentleman who then pointed us to where our... More

Very, very disappointing lunch - not the special 3 course meal with flowers advertised and booked in January - no-one to greet us or show us to our table. Had a long wait to even place our order and even longer to get our starter. The main courses arrived 20 miutes apart! We were there for over 2 hours -... More

The hotel may be showing its age a little, but this is purely cosmetic. It is clean, comfortable and friendly. Our room was perfect for us and our dog. The bar area and lounge are well set out and comfortable. Armchairs around an open fire and a large lounge for kids and TV watchers. Nice area outside for warmer weather.... More

This hotel is in need of a decent decorator throughout! But other than that the room was clean, a good size and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. TV was outdated but that didn't bother us. Free wifi in public areas. Evening meal was very nice. Breakfast was great apart from the sausages as mentioned in a previous review.... More

Sunday 24th Feb, 32 Broadland MG members had a very enjoyable Sunday Lunch picking from a selection of menu's such as Roast Beef ,Chicken,Fish & Chips or Vegitarian followed by selection of deserts. Service was excellent with main meal being served up on very hot plates accompanied by an ample selection of vegetables. This is the third time the club... More

Hotel decor badly in need of a lick of paint. Staff were friendly. Enjoyed the food & was reasonably priced. Had booked for dinner on Saturday night at 7.30 but restaurant was in darkness (no other diners!) with tables not laid up. When we queried with staff it was as though we were an inconvenience! He gave us an excuse... More
