Booked motel at short notice, person running the place was very polite and friendly. Stayed overnight visiting whakapapa ski fields about a 40 minute drive. Rooms are spacious, tidy and comfortable to sleep in. Your within walking distance of the main street in taumaranui with supermarkets and nice chineese takeaway. The rooms were good enough for the price, just the basics..we booked this motel for stopover coz of the spa pool but we were only allowed to use it for 20 mins--realky with a timer!!the owner said other guests myt want to use it too (we were the only guests at the motel!)

Unprepossessing from the outside it may be, but it is what is 'inside' that counts. The motel was comfortable, clean and neat. A continental breakfast was included. Fittings were appropriate for the approximate NZ$85 for a double.
