We visited Poh Manis as a more luxury stop at the end of our 2-month backpacking trip. It’s genuinely my favourite place we have stayed so far. They offer to pick you up from the harbour in a car when you arrive. The free breakfast includes eggs and toast / pancake / or indonesian breakfast, a fresh fruit smoothie and hot drink. The coffee was really delicious and you can refill as much as you want. You have a beautiful view of the sunrise as you eat too and the chef is very good. The room was beautiful, with lots of hot water, strong AC and extremely comfortable beds. The mosquito nets were also very effective! Soap, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and towels were provided. You can also organise laundry delivery & scooter rental at a very reasonable price (80,000 IDR / day). The grounds were beautifully kept and the swimming pool was a favourite. The highlight was definitely the staff. All of them were so friendly, even smiling & saying hello when they recognised me in the street. John, the manager, was a star. He was super helpful and extraordinarily kind at multiple points during our stay. Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough! I don’t usually write long reviews but this one is very well deserved.

This tranquil spot was perfect for our one night stay. John was so welcoming and helpful. He aided us with a ride into town for dinner and was available for anything we needed. The cottages are well appointed with small toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/soap) and mosquito netting. The air conditioning was nice as well. Breakfast was delicious with strong coffee. The best part of our experience here was watching sunrise from the pool deck. So beautiful!!

A tropical paradise! Amazing staff and beautiful views. Extremely well priced. It’s a bit further away but that adds to the relaxing vibe. It’s not an issue though as many places do free pickup/drop off or you can hire a scooter from the villa. John is such a great host and really made our stay!

Beautiful secluded spot overlooking the water. John went above and beyond to provide great service and organised snorkelling for us! Staff were so friendly and helpful. Was nice to watch sunrise from poolside :)

Poh Manis's describes itself on TripAdvisor with "an exotic backdrop for travelers looking forward to escaping to the tropical beauty of Nusa Lembongan, our resort offers tranquility and peace..." That statement couldn't be truer. Its ocean view rooms offer spectacular picture opportunities as the sun rises. The place is incredibly silent and serene, just like your own paradise up in the mountains. Some complain about the 15-minute bumpy ride up the mountain. To get such a view, you gotta drive up the mountain. There's no way around it. In my opinion, it's completely worth it. Upon arrival, you're treated to chilled orange juice with syrup, which is an absolute godsend after the bumpy ride up the mountain in the sweltering 34º heat (which is 93º Fahrenheit for the Americans). You can request for an extra bed to be set up if you have 3 guests, but the corner they set it in is full of mosquitoes (which I had the unfortunate experience of being in). However, I had a gecko come in during the night and get them off me, so my hat goes off to that gecko. The hotel staff prepares a lovely intercontinental breakfast as well. The traditional Balinese coffee is extremely authentic and although bitter, is very refreshing. The hotel also offers free transfer to and fro the port and city. Now onto the issues. I understand that the hotel is up in the mountains and is exposed to nature, but the pool felt like a sauna instead of a pool, so please install some sort of cooling system. Also, room 14's AC unit is installed directly above the mosquito net, so all the cold air wasn't getting to cool the room, therefore making it a sauna inside. My family and I had to dismantle the mosquito netting to allow the AC to do its work. @Poh Manis management, please fix that issue. A friendly suggestion here: maybe you could place a few of those lemongrass incense cones that smell good to repel the mosquitoes? That would really help, and make the room smell nice too. But overall, a lovely experience and an amazing stay at Nusa Lembongan. Would definitely recommend!

This is the third time I have returned to this piece of paradise. What I can never get over is the silence in the evening, it truly is beyond comprehension. The staff are amazing and never intrude on your stay but are always there on hand. The breakfast is cooked to order as are the dinners and drinks are always cold. The rooms are clean and safe and the outdoor shower and bathroom adjoined to each room are wonderful and shielded appropriately. The pool is a wonderful place to relax after breaky or after a day of exploring the islands or it’s amazing waters. I cannot wait to get back to Poh Manis and have that feeling that you are the centre of the universe.

My friend and I stayed in Poh Manis as our last destination in Bali and all I can say is that we definitely saved the best until last. The room was clean, there was an outside shower, the view from the Ocean Room was incredible and the breakfast was delicious. All of the staff are incredibly attentive and happy to help with any request you have. John (one of the main guys) was lovely and always made sure we were enjoying our stay. To receive the best views, the hotel is situated quite far up with a slightly bumpy road leading there. It is easy to get around if you feel comfortable to drive a mo ped and rental is super cheap. There is an app called Maps.Me which shows the best routes back to the hotel even when you don’t have internet. If not, the staff are happy to organise taxi transport for a cheap price. There is also a lovely restaurant which offers a free shuttle (Sandy Bay Beach Club) - highly recommend. Absolutely loved it here and would definitely stay again.

We had high hopes for this place based on the incredible pictures, and we were not disappointed. The view really is that good and the infinity pool that is instantly visible in incredible. John, the chap that manages the resort, is a great guy, happy to help whether it be small or larger requests. The rooms are clean and tidy, with an outdoor shower/toilet area and balcony out the front (with incredible views if you get the ocean rooms [there are 2]). The breakfast is great, and the drinks are reasonably priced. The resort offers moped hire for 80,000IDR a day (roughly £4) which is a must. You don’t have to be a great rider, but the roads are a little bumpy. To address some of the more negative and frankly trivial reviews I’ve read about this place; 1. Of course the roads are bumpy and it is a way from the town - to have a view like this and the silence that you get you have to be a way away. Even though it is actually only a 10 minute moped ride to the main area of lembongan 2. This place is cheap to stay at. For what you get, it’s a damn good price. For those saying that it’s not spotless/there’s holes in the mosquito nets etc. Get some big spray or pay more for a spotless hotel (not going to happen on a remote island in indonesia) 3. From our experience the kitchen were fine with ordering, they always read your order back to you. The breakfast is ample e.g. two pancakes, a smoothie and tea/coffee, or bacon, eggs, half a tomato and a toast. Again, if you can’t hack that stay somewhere else I Would without a doubt recommend this place to anyone that wants a peaceful stay with amazing views and a brilliant pool! Value for money and location are it’s key attractions, along with fantastic people and service.

We stayed in Lembongon for two nights and enjoyed it at Poh Manis. The view from the pool overlooks Nusa Ceningan and the bay with turquoise waters. You could easily spend all day at the pool. Food was great and staff so friendly!

You get what you pay for - small room, wasn’t very clean but it was ok. Toilet and shower was outdoors and our door didn’t shut all the way meaning our room was full of insects 😱 also the mozzie net around the best was covered in holes and the bedsheets were stained! Our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, when I asked at reception why they told me ‘because I never put out a sign to say clean room’ pool is fabulous and there is a very nice view. If your looking for a quiet, cheap stay out of the way this is perfect. But it is pretty far from the ‘main areas’ and roads are pretty bad so you have no choice but to rent a scooter which is only 80,000 per day.
