This charming old mill hotel has beautiful gardens and pool area as well as cozy lounge and restaurant with very good food. We stayed in a suite which was clean and comfortable with sunny bathroom and Hermes bath products. We found the staff to be helpful and hospitable and would definitely return.

My wife and I have stayed overnight at this jewel of a hotel on two occasions when travelling between Paris and Toulouse. Only 6 km north of the enchanting town of Brantome, and within less than 30 minutes from a host of eminent chateaux, abbeys and caves, it is ideally located in the North Perigord region. Its own situation alongside...

The hotel is forrible. Rooms are stinking.
Staff very rude and trying to make a fool out of the visitor. Shortchanged. Just terrible. Do not ever come back to this hotel.

Dear Guest,
We read carefully your comments and we are really sorry to notice that your stay was so terrible in our property. All the staff try to be as helpful as possible for any guests requests, however we recognize that our small hotel can have little imperfections but we always find a solution as soon we know the trouble....

Stayed here as a result of tripadvisor review. It is a very nice place. A restored old mill; beautiful peaceful setting about 6km from Brantome (or anything really!). Food was "OK"... sort of average for this type of hotel. Last time I stayed in Brantome and would recommend Brantome over this place.... unless you want to really get away from...

Stayed three nights at this delightful hotel, the food is extremely good, the hotel building and grounds very attractive and peaceful, the staff are all friendly and unpretentious, Fairly expensive, but you get what you pay for!!

I wished we had spent more than one night at this gorgeous watermill. What makes this place so special though is the food. I'm not at all sure how many stars, baubles or awards it holds, but we have never tasted, savoured and eaten food as good anywhere in the world.
Thank you

We stayed at the Moulin du Roc for 4 nights after we got married in mid-July. We were looking for somewhere to completely relax, and had originally hoped that we could do this by relaxing by the beautiful pool. Unfortunately, the weather was awful, but the Moulin still enabled us to achieve what we were looking for.
The hotel is...

We spent 5 nights at Le Moulin du Roc as a base for exploring the northern the Dordogne. The location is superb: a short drive into Brantome provides access to a charming village with a number of restaurants to choose from, and one can make day trips to visit chateaux, caves, "les plus beaux villages de France", and other attractions....

I always hoped a place this good would exist, and here it is at last. Our room (Paquerette) was charming. The hotel is lovely in every way; the staff is perfect. It is worth paying for a deluxe room with a balcony (mind all don’t have a balcony). We booked ours in advance on a non-cancellable basis and it cost...
