Walked from Mannlichen down to KS. Very pleasant downhill walk even after the rain started. Great views from the restaurant. Stopped for lunch at the Grindelwaldblick restaurant at KS. Fantastic Rosti and apple pie at a reasonable price (for Switzerland). Views form KS were very good even though the visibility was limited. Worth it for the meal!!

One of the nicer hostels encountered on a hiking trip in the Bernese Alps. Comfortable, friendly staff and good food, all in the shadow of the Eiger. It's definitely worth the extra 5 minutes walk uphill from the main touristy hotels in Kleine Scheidegg - it feels a lot more secluded.

On my trip I only made use of the bar / restaurant and outside terrace of this guesthouse but it was a higlight of my trip. The views from the terrace were wonderful and the service friendly and reasonably quick, and the food good.

Almost tucked away behind a rocky outcrop at the back of Kleine Scheidegg, this mountain guest house can only be described as wonderfully friendly.
