We enjoyed a one-day rest (two nights) at this wonderful historic hotel, half-way through our hike from Chamonix to Zermatt. Fairly expensive, but that's Switzerland in general. Stayed in 2 rooms- upgraded after 1 night. Both clean, but pretty chilly in the evening as the central heating wasn't on at this time of year and there's no room-controlled heating. I "found" the Hotel Kurhaus while researching a past trip to the neighboring valley. All I saw were pictures, but I knew I wanted to stay there one day. We were not disappointed!
