Planning a trip to Yakushima was quite challenging as we don't understand Japanese. Hence, Cottage Morinokokage proved to be a lifesaver! The friendly owner, Nakashima-San spoke very good English and it was very convenient to have him book our island car rental and arranged for delivered bento sets. We stayed at Morinokokage for a few wonderful nights last year. The property consists of a number of cute wooden cottages. When we came across this place in one of the sites, we were so excited to try the cottages, especially for the kids..Unfortunately, the cottage was closed from Dec to Jan. 4 nights stay was a bit rushing for us. We wished we could have spend another 2 days in Yakushima. We did not have time to relax on beaches!!
