This hostel is lovely and the staff were so chilled and accomdating. We were picked up from the train station on arrival, they will then also help you organise ski passes and ski hire. Rooms are good, pretty much a simple hotel. Stayed not in snow season and it was very quiet and the service was relaxed. Does have its own kitchen but be sure to organise food before arriving as there are no convenient supermarkets nearby (it's near Hakuba - one or two train stops - not in it). More

This is a fantastic little place with amazingly friendly and helpful staff - thanks Meg and Toshi! There is a nice lounge with internet and a fully equipped kitchen. Echoes other comments. Clean and cheap (for Japan.) Halfway between Kamishiro station/bus stop and Goryu mountain. About a 10 min walk each.
