Stayed at la neige with our 6 year old daughter over CNY. The hotel itself is very centrally located and it was lovely staying in one of their log cabins. What however will make us return and also rave about this hotel is the staff and the service. They are amazingly friendly, pro-actively sort your itinerary out, make restaurant bookings... More

The people at La Neige are so accommodating and welcoming as well as friendly, it is hard to put into words. Whilst the hotel could do with a little updating, this is discounted by how great the staff make the experience. We stayed for 7 nights skiing in Jan 12 and it was a great experience. From booking restaurants for... More

Convenient location with excellent ski shuttle service to all Happo One lifts. Comfortable room with Jacuzzi bath was a treat after a long day skiing. The French restaurant is superb as are all of the hotels staff. All in all an excellent winter holiday. More

Great Hotel, comfy rooms, excellent service and really friendly staff who can't do enough for you and no problems with english. We stayed there in mid Jan and had great snow with some "pow". The La Neige Higashikan is in a good location and they drive you to the lifts at Happo One if you like, otherwise the shuttle bus... More

We are about to stay for our 3rd time at La Neige Higashikan. Eri Konda at the front desk attends to the guests' every need. She speaks perfect English. No carrying skis, boots and helmets. The storage room is at the entrance to the hotel. A hotel van takes you to and from the base of the mountain with no... More

We stayed at the La Neige from 14th Jan to the 23/01/11 and the hotel itself was very nice and the staff were exceptionally helpful and could not do enough for us. English wasn't a problem as there were sufficient staff who spoke well. The restaurant service was of a high standard and the meals presented well. The only drawback... More

Completely agree with the previous reviews - this is a fantastic hotel! The hotel itself is well maintain and the rooms are a decent size. The deco and outside of the hotel is reminiscent of a french ski chateau. Our room had a small annex/sitting area, which was nice for lounging at the end of the day, although the main... More

The staff Shin, Anna and Ken, were incredible and met us outside at 2am when our bus arrived, magnificent room with a jet spa and overlooking the snow drenched forest, complimentary nibbles - with tea and Juice 24/7 in the Lobby where the open fire place is, the staff drove us anywhere we wanted to go, also took our ski... Stayed here for 5 days in order to ski at Happo-one. The hotel is flawless. We stayed in a deluxe room which is HUGE and had a massive Jacuzzi bath. The only thing missing was a staff member with excellent english. Whilst everyone had some English it was poor at best. Other hotels in the area (eg Tokyu and Phoenix)... More

Stayed at the La Neige in January 09 for part of our honeymoon. Snow was excellent but only average according to their standards. Doesn't seem like they have spent a lot on infrastructure since before Nagano Olympics 1998 The village is unlike western ski resorts, quite spread out, limited nightlife or quality restaurants. So bring your own fun! The hotel... More
