The hostel is located in a picturesque area of Biei and if you are traveling by car a GPS is essential. There are several cottages that can be stayed in at the hostel but we stayed in a Japanese style room in the main building. Potato-no-Oka / the Potato Village is actually a fairly small compound comprising of the main building aka youth hostel (where the dormitories, private rooms, front desk and dining hall are), the Loghouse, the Cottage, and a café “Blanc Rouge”.
