Went here with a KGB deal. Cost £79.95 for a two night break with breakfast. Normal cost in excess of £230.00. The hotel building itself is fantastic, you walk in reception and it just engulfs you into the history of the building. We were on the first floor and the room itself was lovely. Bathroom needed up dating (grey and... More

Myself and my fiancé stayed at Bodidris Hall in May 2010 and loved it therefore we decided to return in December 2011. This time we stayed in the Elizabeth suite which was lovely! The room was huge, complete with a large fireplace, window seat overlooking the lake and a four poster bed which was really comfortable! We found the staff... More

Setting is beautiful, staff are excellent, food is faultless. However when we stayed recently, the hotel is in desperate need of a good clean, our room was filthy, full of dust and cobwebs, furniture is shabby. Bathroom was clean, however shower was useless, no water available for part of the time. Overall shabbiness and grubby room really spoilt a delightful... More

Driving up to Bodidris Hall in the pouring rain we were in awe at the sight we beheld at the end of the long drive a lovely ivy clad gem in the midst of beautiful countryside with peacocks and geese on the lawn.As we entered reception my first words were wow!,the panelled walls and suit of armour added to the... I took over the hotel in late Nov. after having stayed twice whilst negotiating. I love the house -the fabric of the old building and its strong link to our Welsh history. Like many guest reviews, I found the place filthy in places. First bedroom i stayed in there were cobwebs trailing from the lights, the feel of dirt everywere... More

I just thought I would write this as I have looked at the reviews and was thinking twice about visiting the hotel, but I thought lets see as I wanted a one night break with my partner. I booked a romantic package at a very reasonable price which included dinner and breakfast plus a treat for my partner when she... More

have not stayed at the bodidris but, have eaten there and visited for afternoon coffee (and other beverages) and never failed to be impressed. there is a quirky staircase with oddsized steps to deter invaders from running up them and the grounds are in another world More

Stayed here for two nights. Summed up, it is old, not entirely perfect, very very quirky, and absolutely marvellous. As reviewed before by another, we echo the sentiment that if you want perfection and/or the usual template befitting of chain hotels such as Travelodge or the slightly more upper end of the market like Macdonald etc. don't bother staying here.... Decided to treat my partner for the Bed breakfast and evening meal deal, we have often driven past and thought it would be an amazing stay. The building itself is amazing, however the interior needs a ruddy good clean and spruce up. Dead wasps on the window seat in my room, cobwebs in the corners, thick dust on the carpet in... More

This place is a genuine stately home complete with a suit of armour in the reception area, together with a few creeky floorboards and a wonky staircase, and is a real delight. The building is set in lovely countryside about a mile from the road with a lake in front complete with ducks and geese, pheasant galore and a couple... More
