Everything was just right and more - lovely owners, great breakfast, welcome tea and cake, comfortable rooms and beautiful views. We would love to go back if we visit that part of the world. More

Although only here for one night, we would liked to have stayed longer. Beautiful, tranquil surroundings with views over the orchard and countryside beyond our bedroom, with en suite bathroom. Guests enjoy a comfortable sitting room/breakfast room that is well stocked with local information and books, and looks out on to the garden. A separate entrance for guests and hallway... More

We were 5 friends walking the Ridgeway together - this bnb was right on the walk. An absolute gem, Miv and John the owners are wonderful, special people so welcoming and it feels as though we have been friends for years. Home cooked cake on arrival was just lovely. Miv and John have thought and covered everything and you really... More

Stayed here for just one night in July and really couldn't have wished for better. Reasonably priced, very clean and tidy, coffee and cake on arrival, comfy bed, good breakfast. If you're walking the Ridgeway the added bonus is that the front door is about two minutes walk from the path. More

I stayed here on day 4 of a walking holiday with a friend. This is an amazing B&B. Our bedroom and ensuite bathroom was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. There was a guest lounge with wonderful views to be had and plenty of books to read to while away the evening. There was also a small kitchen area that guests... More

We have just returned to France after a week away walking the Ridgeway, staying at the Ridgeway Lodge for the last three nights. Miv and John were lovely hosts, the rooms were immaculate and the breakfast delicious. Our ins and outs were graciously accepted and tea and cake offered on our return every day! The location was beautiful and views... More

My husband and I stayed at The Ridgeway for 3 nights. Upon arrival we were warmly met by the proprieters Miv and John. We were given a lovely afternoon tea. Our room was so lovely and clean. Everything was absolutely spotless. The bed was extremely comfortable! As well as a tv there is also a lovely comfortable armchair which was... More

We were walking in the Chilterns and spent two nights here. Miv and John looked after us from the moment we arrived until we left. Greeted with tea and cake both on arrival and after a long days walk we were made to feel comfortable at all times. Having a living room to relax in, with well stocked books and... More
