Enjoyed a very relaxing night here on the way to the chunnel. Evening meal was very good, breakfast was even better. We all slept so well as it was peaceful, comfortable bed, quality sheets. Just would have liked a shower rather than bath only but then maybe the room rate would be higher if the bathroom was updated and renovated.... More

A while ago now, when I was still young and thrusting, I ran marathons as a way of keeping fit and wrecking my knees in the process. In training for the 2003 London Marathon I ran the Worthing 20 mile road race – four tedious 5-mile laps of Goring by Sea. It was on the fourth of these laps when... More

Just got back from a Saturday night stay here with my wife and we're full of praise for the Wife of Bath. We opted for room 3 which is a stunning four poster room with vaulted ceilings, a window overlooking the quiet village street at the front and a huge fireplace. It is tastefully and luxuriously decorated with a great... More

My North Downs Way walking party stayed overnight in 'The Wife of Bath'. The accommodation was stylish and the evening meal, taken in the quiet and elegant ambiance of the dining room, was exquisite. All staff were young, well-presented and professional. What a treat! More

We stayed here last summer and the food was a very high standard. Staff were excellent. They even lifted a table into the garden for us to have breakfast as it was such a lovely day. I would definitely go back and recommend to friends frequently! More

Visited here on Saturday 25th February and was very impressed from start to finish. For starters we had the red mullet on an asian coleslaw and a mackeral dish, both very good. for mains we had the pork belly and the pan fried loin of venison again both very good and reasonable sized portions. Had a bottle of wine with... More

Stayed here between Christmas and New Year, last minute decision, excellent midweek break price of £130 for dinner B&B. Good standard of accommodation with great friendly service, food was nicely presented and of good quality. Wine list varied and reasonable price. Would definitely return if in the area. More
