We booked 3 nights B&B on line and when we got there it was only Bed but they added the breakfast in the price for us. The breakfast was huge and they also provided us with an evening meal which was realy nice. Lyne and Alan where good hosts even to the point of directing us back from the race... More

We stayed in the self catering cottage/rooms in April 2012. There was plenty of space and you could self cater pretty well if you were so inclined. Our hosts were friendly and `talked us through York' and directly to the premises. However, we discovered late at night that they had forgotten to put towels in our room and so that... More

A reasonably priced spacious 2 bedroom cottage a short bus ride from York. They did provide us with towels which aren't normally supplied, but were not happy that I requested extra toilet tissue. The TV got 3 channels and WIFI did not work. Glasses in the cupboard were dirty. More

We stayed at the bunkbarn as part of a hen weekend to York. We knew it would be basic but we were still disappointed. 2 toilets and 2 showers between 20 people is hard going. The kitchen was ill-equiped and the fridge didn't work. The 'sleeping area' is really cramped, especially when is everyone is trying to get ready at... More

I have just returned from a two day stay with 19 friends. We had an all round fantastic time. The bunkhouse is set back from the main road, which meant we could be as loud as we wanted without disturbing anyone. The size of it wasn't very big, but you get what you pay for and it was good enough... More

Its such a shame that the owners of this family run B&B just hadn't paid enough attention to detail to the room we stayed in. The size of the room was ok for 5 of us. There was a double bed, bunk beds and a small wooden single camping bed. The bedding was clean (Some stains on the top bunk... More

My wife and I booked room no.2 with the four poster bed. We were met on arrival by the owner who was very helpful. The room was clean with en suite which was nice. The room did have a small electric heater which may not be adequate in a harsh winter. The spiral staircase makes it difficult to access and... More

Stayed here for one night, as we were visiting York for the Christmas market the following day. On arrival was extremely pleased, we were welcomed in from the snow and given coffee and biscuits in a charming lounge with a large open fire place. Next we were shown into our room.... The room was quite cramped, damp and freezing cold.... More

We stayed here for one night, it was perfect for one night, to be honest it is only suitable for 1-2 night stays, anymore and it would probably feel cramped. 13 of us stayed and had a great time. The bunkhouse was clean and more than adequate for our needs. The owners daughter was more than helpful, and we were... More

Bunk House York - filthy, damp, no ventilation, dingy, condoms in the supposedly clean beds?!??! [yeah right!] cramped, website is COMPLETELY deceiving......should be made to answer under trade s description....contravenes health and safety,,,,,and to think I actually paid money to stay there....THE WORST place I have ever had the misfortune to frequent.....you would be better off staying at home and...
