Very friendly and helpful people. I requested a good sized double (which I got) and the room itself was fine. Only disappointing thing was the bathroom which was tiny - shower cubicle (small) one end, loo at the other end and basin in the middle. More like a walk in cupboard! It was OK for me as I am reasonably... More

I stayed just one night, arriving late. The welcome was good and my room had been upgraded to a double from a single. It was warm, clean and I slept like a log. Big breakdfast! More

We really enjoyed out stay at Ship Stores. Our room was in an old converted building to the rear of the main building. The room itself was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. (The orange juice wasn't very nice but since my wife enjoyed it that must just be me!!) So if that's all one... More

We stayed here for a friend's wedding. The rooms are smartly decorated, clean and have everything you need. Most of the rooms were taken up by wedding guests and eveyone was impressed! The owners are very welcoming and helpful and breakfast was great. Thank you for a nice relaxing weekend. More

We learned about the Ship Stores Guest House from reviews of B&B's in the Sudbury area. Due to some confussion from various on-line booking sites we communicated directly with the owner. Fortunately we were able to get the last room available. We were not disappointed. We stayed in the 400 year old building (as opposed to the newer addition out... More

Such a lovely stay whilst I was on business in West Suffolk last November. They even looked after some post for me before I even arrived. Breakfast was incredible in taste and quantity, plus having access to complimentary WiFi really made a difference... Would very much recommend this hidden gem to anyone on a business or leisure trip. my husband and I often visit Clare for the purpose of visiting friends. In future we will not seek to stay anywhere other than Ship Stores. Our room was extremely well-equipped, cosy and comfortable. A great nights sleep in a lovely large bed was followed by a fantastic breakfast cooked and served by our very welcoming hosts Colin and Debbie... More

We stayed for three days at this quiet and cosy, well positioned B & B, situated a short walk from the centre of Clare. Booking and arranging our arrival was hassle free and car parking was not a problem. Our en suite room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Our large double bed was very comfortable and the room was... More
