We stayed four nights in a room with private bathroom; We've never stayed in a room with shared bathroom, but I would consider it if we returned to BB 44 Guesthouse. Everything was comfortable, relaxed, and clean always. Our hosts were helpful beyond what one might expect. The primary bus stop - multiple routes 1, 2, 4, 35 -- was...

Nowadays a trip to Iceland is much more affordable then a few years ago. Normal prices, similar which we have in Holland. Via the reviews I spotted the BB44 guesthouse, located so nearby Reykjavik that it is only 10 minutes to the centre. Especially the package deal, room including a car, triggered us. We drove a 4 wheel drive (needed...

Very charming B&B, Sigga was wonderful! Children loved it, we were in a cottage apart from the house, our daughter loved the pet bunny! Jacuzzi, 2 available kitchens with a supermarket a few blocks away. Internet availability, and wonderful breakfasts in the morning. Sigga was extremely helpful and gave us superb advice! Would stay again in a heartbeat!

We decided to stay in that Bed&Breakfast during our trip in Iceland because it was cheap and had a really profitable pack of staying and car hire. I know what is a budget hotel and what to expect when I'm low cost traveler. But BB44 offers by far I worst service I've ever had. The room was a budget room,...

I'm not a fan of B&B's but this place was wonderful for my needs. The host was very nice and helpful, that alone made this place the place to stay. The price per night was very attractive. There are 2 houses, and we were in the "2nd house" the room was a good size, with a shared shower and bath....

Very friendly and helpful couple . The landlady Sigga saved my life as I checked out of my room at 3 pm, thinking I would catch the 3.30 flybus but to my surprise the next one was at about 9 pm!
Sigga promplty raced me off to the last stop before Rekjavik Airport (Viking Guesthouse?) and due to her kind...

We stayed there for 3 nights in August 08. The house was fully booked which wasn't a problem since it was a nice bunch of people. But make sure not to show up last in the breakfast room, cause sometimes the best bits and pieces might already be gone. Still the breakfast buffet is one of the best parts, since...

Most of the reviews on this site pertain to the BB 44 Gisting - Guesthouse located at Borgarholtsbraut 44, but few have focused on the sister property at Nýbylavegur 16. A total of five nights in mid-August proved to be a decent stay, but with some minor difficulties. Both of these houses are in Kopavogur, the country's second largest city...

We stayed for a couple of nights adn the owners couldn't have been more friendly. The rooms were small, but clean and the facilities were good. We hired a car thorugh them as well that worked out well.
The only downside is that the guesthouse is in a suburb a little bit out of town, and costs about $15 to...
