What a place. the hotel section are the old cells and cloisters, separating the building from the public areas. The room was extremely comfortable with old world furniture, and with the public areas, gave a strong old atmospheric feeling. This hotel is unique and a rarity on its own. It shares one wing of the Royal Monastery of Guadalupe, the hotel maintains a nice balance of a modest vintage hotel with a prestigious history. This place is really great. We were there in August 2003, walked in and got a room with A/C (notoriously rare in Spain) for 50. Our room was on the top floor, super high ceiling, excellent modern clean bathroom, friendly staff. We had dinner in the open patio which was wonderful. More
