We travelled by train, foot and local buses to visit a great uncle's grave and the battlefield at Fromelles. We needed to stay in Armentieres and chose this hotel because it was very easy to get to from the railway station, and was central for walking to everything. Dark, dingy, smelly and overpriced. the room was a disgrace, no where to hang clothes, small, everything smelt of stall cigarette smoke,furniture falling apart. We had booked for 3 nights, but left after one. we did not bother with breakfast. Advice is to avoid armenties completely, and go to Ypres Belgium, much better accomodation, and restrarants to eat in. More

We needed somewhere to stay near Dunkirque and decided to stop in this small town. There are only 3 hotels here, so not much choice. We ended up at Hotel Albert, and it was not the nicest place. Parking is on the street though these can be busy. There are two large car parks a couple of hundred meters away so unload your bags first. Smashing little place and great value.
