In spite of all the positive reviews, please don't get fooled by the positive reviews probably made by American tourists not really used to good food and quality service. Sorry guys, but this is true ! When you travel a lot, this is where you can compare and make accurate judgement calls. Yes the hotel is magnificent, the decor is... More

Dear Sir, We understand from your review that you did not enjoy your stay in our hotel and we feel deeply sorry for that. We would like to apologize for the experience you had at your arrival and departure which happened to be at the busiest time during dinner and outside our business hours in the morning. It is very... Very nice and special hotel tucked away in a small town east of Carcassonne. Lots of old world charm with no two rooms being identical. The suites are wonderful, especially No. 2, and you always seem to be on your own despite many guests. Not everything is spic & span, though, but a bit of wear and tear just adds... More

I came across this hotel accidently, as I was wanting to stay in Carcassonne.. But we were so pleasantly surprised by this hotel.... the grounds are beutiful, the rooms very generous, I booked a triple room, and we were given 2 very large interconecting double rooms with 2 bathrooms. The food and wine is very good, and the atmosphere is... More

This hotel is really special. The hotel just encourages you to relax; although we didn't take advantage of the spa, the ambience is superb. The food in the restaurant is as good as you would expect. The staff are extremely keen to make sure you totally enjoy your stay and cannot do enough to please.

We returned once again to this charming hotel, and on this occasion we stayed in one of the superior rooms with balcony; the rooms were always charming in this hotel but this is just magnificent, spacious and beautifully presented and serviced. The restuarant remains one of the highlights of any stay at Chateau de Floure. The food is outstanding and... More

Situated at the quiet end of a quiet village, but only 10-15 minutes from Carcassonne, this turned out to be an excellent choice, and our favourite discovery in France this year. The hotel has resisted the temptation to spend extravagantly and to charge luxury prices, but it seemed to us that it had chosen a respectable compromise by offering a... More

This is a nice little hideaway and only 10 mins from the Cité at Carcassonne. Superior room with terrace in what seemed to be a new annex of the building. Spotlessly clean, big bed, large room. Tried the spa, was suprised by the charge of 15 euros per person, as in other hotels this is included. Spa area is clean... More

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hostellerie du Château de Floure. The room (superior) was large with a big terrasse and had everything you can wish for, including a wonderful immense bed (but no safe) The weather did not permit us to enjoy the gardens but they are very nice and the swimming-pool as well. We had opted... More

Arrived at the hotel around 6.30 after a full day sight seeing. We'd booked for one night at de Floure which, as it turned out, was enough. Our room (10) was large with a good sized bathroom, adequate towels and toiletries. Room had electronic shutters which we like as, for us, they assist getting a good night's sleep. The "beautiful"... This hotel apparently used to be a monastery and has been extended over the years but the heavy oak beams remain, as do a kind of rabbit warren of rooms. This and the Domaine de la Tortiniere, was the only hotel that had us all running and giggling like schoolkids checking out everyone's room. No two rooms are alike. One... More
