The building itself is nice, looks like an old castle, especially the lobby. The owner is courteous and friendly. My room was clean and big enough, but it must have been the darkest room I have ever seen. There are only three bedside lamps for the whole room. Makes it hard to see inside the closet!

We stayed at the Hotel Konbenio one night over Easter weekend on a visit to Bilbao, which is just barely 20 minutes away. A cute town on its own, you can also drive north half an hour to Guernica, which is also worth doing. The rooms were affordable but very nice, large and clean. Staff was courteous and helpful, and...
