Nice little place in Torrejon El Rubio which is generally regarded as the gateway to the Montfrague National Park which must be one of the (if not THE) best birdwatching spots in Europe. IKEA styled B&B. Adequate comfort. Very helpful host. Perfect suggestions for birding. Is a nature guide himself, but isn't always around since he doesn't live in the same place. Poor breakfast. The nearby restaurant of Hotel La Serena serves a good dinner at a very affordable price.

Casa Babel provided just what we wanted, a clean and modern, quiet and comfortable base for our bird watching in Monfrague National Park and the Steppes. The self-catering arrangements meant we were completely free to come and go as we wished. We will certainly come to Casa Babel on our next visit to Extremadura

I spent a couple fo days with Jose at Casa Babel. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the continental breakfast was tasty and filling, and Jose was an excellent guide with a great knowledge of his patch and an easy friendly manner. I would highly recommend him for people visiting Extramadura.
