“Rural Basque experience”

We actually have been drawn to the Gametxo hotel because of its remote rural location and the promised views of the Atlantic. And we have not been dissapointed during our 3-day stay! Our room was spacious, clean, with a good bed, nice balcony and a very good WiFi connection. The hotel staff was very friendly, the reception staff speaks English... More

We stayed at hotel Gametxo for 3 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. The only issue we had is that we completely underestimated the time to drive to the hotel (you can only come by car). Take a decent map to find this place but when you do it's well worth it. Tremendous peaceful spot high up on a hill with fantastic views. Very nice clean and tidy rooms and lovely helpful staff. At first we were skeptical of the hotel because getting there was an adventure in and of itself. Once you find the hotel you are just simply stunned.
