We had dinner with friends on Saturday evening. We all had different things on the menu. The cooking was good. The starters were good - asparagus, salmon rilettes etc. the lamb rump was excellent, the beef good and the fish pie very acceptable. The service was efficient. The price was fair £29 for 3 courses although none of us took... More

I didn't stay overnight at this place so can't comment on rooms etc. I was a wedding guest and I would strongly advise against booking your wedding here if you are considering it. The wedding was over in the Tithe Barn so I cant comment on the main hotel area either. Basically there were many small errors made - understandable... More

Well, I can only share the review of David. It was our last day before heading back to Switzerland where we live. We wanted to stay close to the airport without going into London. The staff at reception was ok'ish but not overly friendly - we then checked into our room: no wardrobe, the bathroom floor and bedroom floor dirty!... More

An overpriced establishment with rooms that leave a lot to be desired. £130 for a small room without a wardrobe. or shelving and only a coat rack with 5 hangers is nothing short of unbelievable. As a result you live out of a suitcase with everything on the floor. We were given rooms in the Cottages across the road from... More

Visited for lunch on Tuesday as we were visiting Hurley by Boat. Service and food were excellent we had the set lunch which was impressive for the price (£16.50) for 3 courses. There are not many eating places that have such lovely gardens, the setting is quite magical and very relaxing on a lovely summers day. Took our two dogs... More

We were lucky to get a room at the Olde Bell last minute for the Sunday night of the Bank Holiday. We had a lovely large room in the main inn overlooking the garden. The inn itself has been refurbished in a contemporary style that remains sympathetic to the old nature of the building. The location, in Hurley village, near... More

We stayed in a beautiful room in the main inn. Massive bed, very comfortable, excellent shower and loved the claw-foot bath in the bedroom! The decor of the olde bell has been tastefully and sympathetically done. Rustic, cosy and simple - it creates the perfect atmosphere for a weekend away in the countryside. We had dinner in the restaurant and... More

Ate in the pub / bistro. A little pricier than usual pub food, but it can be. Lovely food cooked to order. Cant wait to return in the Summer to take full advantage of their beautiful gardens - check out their picnic packages!

We stayed a night in this hotel and really enjoyed our stay.We had a large room with massive bed in the brick barn. We were a little concerned as 2 wedding receptions were on during our visit but we need not have worried as they had their own areas of the hotel. The bar also only served hotel guests who were... Dear Essie2109, Thank you for your review. Its great to get feedback about our rooms and service and im glad you didn't let a little chaos on sunday morning ruin your stay with us. Sunday breakfast is always a challenging service as all of our guests come down to breakfast in a 20 minute window. sometimes this can be 90... More

We went to the Olde Bell for a formal cricket club dinner and the service was severely lacking. We had to wait ten minutes for a drink on arrival, only 11 place settings were laid on our table of 12 so there was a wait while they found cutlery (dirty) and a chair. There was only one bottle of water... More
