This hotels must have looked exactly the same in 1961.
Dining room is all in white with black tiled floor, no decoration.... sanitized.
They have a decent menu at 25 euros with fast service.
The elevator is minuscule. Walls between rooms paperthin. Our television set offered two Italian channels and one German.

You can almost hear the music 'Grand Hotel' as you walk through the main entrance, whilst there are no palm trees they certainly have substitutes and the whole building is art decor, it's a blast from the past - there's probably an identical hotel somewhere in Torquay! Want to see coastline, Liguria near Monaco/France border, then this could be a good stop off. A lovely little hotel with pleasant homely touches and a keeness to oblige from all staff. The kindest comment about Ospedaletti is that it is under much transformation at present (on the sea front). I believe the foundations are beginning for a cycling route....

Having been quoted €1,100 per night to stay at the Grand Hotel in Monte Carlo during Grand Prix week!
