I have titled this review the same as the recent one by Johng39benfleet as we were on the same driving tour and I am happy to confirm what he has said. We were entertained to a big group dinner in a charming panelled room and the staff coped very well. The breakfast buffet has a room to itself - it... More

Perfect for a relaxing weekend of spa, wine and hiking in the middle of the black forest! Very friendly staff and lovely rooms. The spa area can be a little too small if the hotel if fully booked. Now that they are planning to double the number of rooms, one can hope that they increase the pool and the saunas!... More

Arrived at the Hotel Ritter after 6 hours of driving and what a wonderful place. It has a fantastic restaurant and friendly staff, but how much better does it get than the owner walking through the reception and shaking your hand. The rooms are fantastic also, comfortable beds, fantastic shower and in a lovely little village in the Black Forest.... More

I have stayed at this hotel for about 80 nights on business. It is very very good. The rooms are furnished nicely, the hotel staff is amazingly friendly and helpfull, the spa is very good, the free tea / fresh fruits and reading library add a nice tough. The different restaurants are excellent as well and the breakfast is world... More

I had booked the Hotel Ritter in April for their 'culinary journey' for a stay in October to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Booking was straightforward, and I was kept informed about some developments (like the beginning of extension work). The location of the hotel is in the beautiful village of Durbach in the foothills of the Black Forest. Well known... More

This rustic hotel is a modern surprise, loved the decor of the lobby, rooms and spa! Nicely furnished rooms, indoor pool and friendly service. Close to the wineries! Would definitely stay again! Best Breakfast Buffet during our 12 Day Germany Vacation!

It has not been my wish to travel to Germany at this time of the year since I do not like the cold weather. However, business sometimes doesn't leave you a choice. This hotel is nicely located in the 'Badische' wine yard area of southern Germany, well known to many foreigners. It is advisable to have a car when travelling... More

We stayed for two nights and really loved it. The hotel is located in the centre of Durbach: a small village in the Baden-wine region and therefore we visited Durbach. We booked an arrangement with one evening at the standard restaurant and one evening in the Michelin star restaurant. We were upgraded to one of their suites and it was... More

Stayed for two nights last summer. Rooms were large and well appointed, with a seperate bathroom and WC. Our only complaint was that the pool/hot tub were closed for yearly maintenance while we were there- that had not been communicated to us prior. (Note: I think this is to blame on Hotels.com, as they probably received the notification). The staff... More

Stayed here for a single night due to a business trip to Offenburg and was pleased with my stay. Just don't expect this place to be something extraordinary. Check in was smooth, (standard) room a bit crammed and rather small, but spotlessly clean. Bathroom was tiny but featured nice fittings. Some of the facilities seemd to be in need of... More
