This motel is a convenient stopping off place for travellers wanting to avoid the rush of Wellington. It is located on the main road but we did not find noise to be a problem. Rooms have a pleasant outlook on to a garden/lawn area with outside tables - ideal for summer. The beds were comfortable and linen and bed covers appeared to be new. The decor is a little dated but the bathroom was well appointed and the shower very efficient. A separate kitchen was very well equipped with everything needed for self catering. The highlight must be the breakfast (included within the tariff). It was huge. A modern TV is included but we had a problem with reception on the night we stayed although an electrician was called immediately to rectify it. Another big plus is the excellent parking area provided - no problem for a minibus and trailer. We would certainly stay again.
