I stayed for 3 nights and I totally enjoyed it. Located in a traditional small popular town, surrounded by great food, restaurants, shops. Easy access to Ginza/ Shibuya/ Fish market via direct metro line. The ryokan is clean and cozy, and staff is super nice and helpful to recommend routes and places to visit. More

Asakusa is a gem among Tokyo's modern high rises. It's abundant shops, market and great restaurants make it a popular place for tourists and locals to hang. If you want to see the small Tokyo and you need a good location to hop around this part of the city, you cannot go wrong with this delightful little Ryokan Friendly staff,... More

Owner of Blue Compass Global Travel, Sacramento, California - Business trip. Before leaving for my trip to Japan I knew that I wanted to experience a traditional Japanese guest house... easier said than done. It took me awhile to find a Ryokan guest house( Ryokan), especially the Ryokan Kamogawa Asakusa. It is a very popular place and it always seems... More

We stayed here for six nights and loved it. Staff are friendly, rooms and bathrooms are spotless, and Asakusa is a great place to stay while exploring Tokyo. A huge plus was how easy it was to get to the Ryokan (by monorail and Metro; Asakusa line) from Hanada Airport. There were three of us, and we chose the family... More

For somebody with little experience with ryokasn this is an excellent place to start. Small, friendly, manager speaks excellent English and gives you advice in all matters ryokan. Rooms are perfect and quiet. The bath is small, but private so you won't share it with anyone, And the location is perfect, 100 meters from Senso-ji and surrounded by covered shop... More

I arrived late (around 0030) due to a delayed flight. The airline called ahead and told me that someone would wait up for me. Thankfully the hotel was true to their word, and someone was till waiting. Thanks! I got a very nice room with tatami mats. The bed was comfortable, although the duvets were a little thick (got a... This hotel is in one of the remaining 'low rise' areas of Tokyo that has plenty of charm and interest. Markets, a large park and the airport train are all nearby, and the traditional rooms are comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome and can recommend it enthusiastically. More

We stayed here in Jan this year and would stay again because it is so well located - right near Sensoji temple, in very quaint and functional laneways, lots of good places to eat and hear the river and underground. Hotel itself is very cramped and restaurant is tiny. Rooms are very small, but overall worth the price because of... More

We went here last year in January 2010. It was great to experience and traditional Japanese guest house. As it was situated in Asakusa, an old traditional neighbourhood we met the Japanese culture right away. The famous market street leading to the temple was just around the corner. Although the wall were of course paper thin we didn't experience any... More
