We arrived at night,( raining and unfamiliar surroundings, taxi driver drops us off in random place and we have to walk/ find NUTS, I would suggest google mapping the road/ street / area before you arrive, as that way you will have some familiar landmarks to steer you to the hotel - thank goodness our son had done this !... So the title says it all, you can rent the place by the hour for brief 'encounters'. I didn't fancy the outdated decor or that I had to sleep on a mattress topped with a plastic liner. I've stayed in backpackers that were better than this! If you want an honest look at this place, use google street view it... More

Stayed at the City Hotel N.U.T.S ("New Urban Time and Space" for those who are wondering) on a recent visit to Tokyo with friends. We decided to try the Modern Japanese room with tatami mats. Room was pristine clean, and the futon mattresses were surprisingly very comfortable. Free WiFi is available in the room, but was slow and the signal... More

The Hotel NUTS, where to start.... The Good - located in a semi-quiet area of Shinjuku (if this is possible) with fair size rooms at a reasonable price. Close to Maruonuchi subway station and a fair walk to Shinjuku JR station, with heaps of high quality eateries and shopping in the surrounding areas. Free Soft drinks in the lobby (I... More

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel N.U.T.S., even though it did take place during the big earthquake. My room was good, although the decor was clearly a few decades old. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, though I would have liked an in-between bedding option between a thin sheet and the thick quilt. The bathroom was surprisingly large,... More

Im a family with one 7 year old kid. Like in most rooms in Tokyo or probably in Japan..its a bit small compared to what is on the website.. The bed fits just only 2 mid sized adult. The room is well kept, probably the toilet(with jacuzzi but haven't tried) has a lot more space than than the room itself.... More

I recently stayed at City Hotel NUTS in Shinjuku. Staying with a mate we had a double bed and a single bed in the room - this covered the whole room - hardly any room to even put your bags down. The bathroom was almost the same size of the sleeping area which has a jacuzzi and typical Japanese shower... More

We booked a Western style room through Hostelworld, but were given a Japanese style room on the newly redecorated top floor. We had jet lag and the woman on reception didn't speak English, so we didn't ask to change. The room was tiny with a really low ceiling, and incredibly hot. The window didn't open, and while the air con... More

Room was very stuffy. In a good location though close to metro and reteraunts etc. staff friendly and free internet. Best thing about this place is the massage chair in my room which was a welcome sight after a long day sightseeing!! Would return without hesistation. More
