3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 May 2013 NEW

My wife and I checked in 2 weeks ago at the end of Japan's golden week. Our room was a RCI time-share exchange for 6 nights, so I'm writing this review from an RCI member's perspective. For RCI members who are used to spacious rooms, the rooms here are small (see pictures) but compared to (for example) newer business hotels... More

I booked my parents into the Washington (fooled by their flashy website) and myself into Sun Members for a cheaper night's sleep. Turns out, my room was better than theirs!!! Don't let the nondescript exterior put you off. The room was big by Tokyo standards and featured little extras such as fancy bedding, a full raft of free bathroom amenities,... More

I thought it would be nice for the whole group to bunk in together into one room. As our other accommodations were all coupled. Was a bad idea. The room was so cramp. We had to stack our bags on top one of another. The toilet was plastic-y (but i assume normal) and shakes when you stand on the tub.... More

Its very clean & cosy. The walk from the hotel to JR Shinjuku though abit of a distance but my family enjoyed the stroll. There is a Shinjuku Chuo Park where we saw Cherry blossoms. Totally amazing as it saved us time to go to Ueno especially we went when we were not sure if there was full bloom in... More

I was coming in late evening to Tokyo Narita with heavy lugguage, so I wanted a place where it's convenient to take the airport limosine bus to. Shinjuku area has the airport limosine bus with one of the most frequent services. The hotel is conveniently located behind Washington hotel ( annex wing) so its about a three mins walk from... More

We really enjoyed our stay here and would heighly recomment it! The staff were lovely with good english. Great value of money and plenty to offer in the area. Do your research! Breakfast was great, quite authentic but with enough western food to keep you going. Very cosey. I would stay here again!

The hotel is located 15 minutes (walking distance) from Shinjuku station (JR Line) and 5 minutes (walking distance) from Tochomae station (Metro). Nice and affordable; small rooms and bathrooms but you will see that throughout Japan. I recommend you include breakfast (fruits, bread, coffee, etc.), that way you avoid spending time looking for places to eat. The majority of the... More

We mostly used Shinjuku station for travelling. It's pretty far from the station for someone who isn't fit. The best way to get there during winter is to walk through the underground passage from the station to Hotel Washington - best way to avoid the cold winter breeze. The hotel is behind Hotel Washington. The room would have been alright... More

If you just need a reasonably comfortable bed for the night and a nice warm shower in the morning, this hotel is great. It's also quite convenient for Shinjuku train station and for all the local attractions. Honestly though, I can't at all recommend staying at this hotel. I was here for a week and thankfully because I was always... More

You have to remember that each country has their own little quarks, esthetics, and standards when it comes to living conditions. Coming from North America where space is everything, Asia is the complete opposite. And one visit to Tokyo will make you understand why space is a precious thing. There's no point in judging a hotel based on norms that... More
