I have stayed at Granbell in Shibuya maybe 10 times. It has become one of my favorite places to stay in my favorite city, Tokyo. Location is great - especially if you like to go to Daikanyama and Aoyama. Both places are in walking distance of the hotel. I can recommend the bath view suit. That's where I normally stay.... More

It is true, the Granbell is quite a trendy little hotel - especially for the price. And the price is a key thing here. Tokyo hotels are incredibly expensive, as everyone knows. But for $150 a night, the Granbell is worth every bit. The breakfast downstairs leaves a lot to be desired but there are plenty of restaurants close by... More

Obviously this depends on what you're visiting Tokyo for, but it is the shortest walk to JR Shibuya station / Shibuya crossing, 1 stop from Harajuku, 2 stops from Shinjuku, and on the same subway line to visit Ueno park and other cool stuff. Stayed there for a week in their premier suite - There's a staircase that takes you to the actual room once you enter the door. Small room but rather cozy. Simple service like housekeeping before 14:00, no room service, but very friendly & helpful front desk staff. More
