Nice hotel, not too big, on the beach. Good restaurant and helpful and friendly staff. Renovated rooms . Would certainly come back to this hotel if a next trip to Mombasa. Some nice restaurant near on the beach if you want to get out. Observe the big difference between hi and low tide, bu when low tide you can always... More

We booked direct with Severin and found them to be very good at getting back to us via email. We booked our two week beach holiday / safari and wedding with them. The hotel was very peaceful with beautiful gardens and 2 lovely swimming pools. We stayed in room 117 which we liked at the beginning of our stay and... More

Dear Severin Sea Lodge Family, My family was your guest for three nights (Sunday 27/11/11 to Tuesday 29/11/11) staying in room 106. I wish to take this opportunity to send a small message of appreciation to all the staff who made us feel so much at home and especially my two young daughters. I will not forget the way people... I just returned from a weekend with my fiance - we picked it at the last minute for an impromptu holiday. It is lovely for the price we paid compared to other hotels in the area offering the same or similar amenities - its quite affordable for the basics they offer. It's been renovated so you have air con in... More

We were there for at least 10days and found this Hotel more than Perfect. The Food was delicious every Day and the staff was absolutely friendly and guest orientated. The Hotel is like European 4star++ Level. Er recommend the Sea Lodge to everyone, also try Out their Safari Camp, which is another Perfect Place to stay! More

We had pleasure of spending a few days after relocating from another place. Everything was great and i had value for money. Your waiters are properly trained and are great people. I would recommend it to anyone planning for holiday at the north coast. With thanks More

For the price, the hotel did NOT live up to expectations. The rooms and bathrooms were a decent size, and were probably once very, very nice. However, now everything was a bit dark, dingy and sorely in need or repair. The shower drains were incredibly slow, so the cheap plastic shower curtain was always filthy (yeech!), and the housekeeping never... More

Dear Amnesty1, We would like to thank you for the comments that you have put on trip advisor and we are sorry that we did not live upto your expectations. Regarding the rooms, yes they are old and we will be renovating them in the near future. We have already completed one side of the hotel so next year we... More

The hotel first opened in 1972, I have been coming to Severin since 2001 and I always had a very good stay. Many of the rooms and bungalows have been recently renovated, (this uplift was really necessary), and now they are very pleasant and comfortable. There is aircon, satellite TV, and wireless Internet for a decent price. The breakfast buffet... More

We had the pleasure of spending a few days at the Severin Sea Lodge recently. We really cannot think of anything we would change or improve about this hotel. Our rooms were very comfortable - alright, you're not living in five-star opulence, but they were exactly what you'd want and expect for a beach hotel and the beds were very... More

The service is great but the unrenovated rooms really suck. Tired, noisy and dark. The food is ok - excellent desert, main meal is akin to boarding school and the menu is very much dominated by German tastes (Sausage salad; processed meat). Drinks are a little overpriced, beach is way too crowded. If it were not for the staff (waiters... More
