the food here again was very good, we ate twice once with the family 6 members who all enjoyed the food and the second time on our own and the standard was as usual very good. Thank you to the chef and good staff.

My wife & I stayed here for two nights while getting in some walking. Very friendly and helpful staff, room was simple but clean - 'restocked' each day. Very comfortable beds. I have eaten here with my partner on a few occasions and go back because the food is brilliant. We have always tried different options on the menu and never had a poor meal yet. A great deal at an exceptional price. Very friendly staff and customers. Rooms very clean. Great Breakfast - didn't need lunch! Really good pub food and large portions. Slept very well - good beds. Would definately recommend this place. Village has several other pubs and eateries. Great walks and Buxton only 40 mins on bus.
