We were most impressed with the warm welcoming staff, breath taking views , very comfortable room( found a hot water bottle in our bed upon return from dinner. Nice touch) We had a lovely wine tasting experience too and dinner was of very high standard. Our breakfast was the best ever, with taste if the finest ingredients and cooked with... More

This is an impeccably managed hotel along the garden route and an ideal stopover for 1/2 nights. The food is exceptional, the rooms are really lovely and the service is excellent. I don't think there is enough to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel for a much longer stay but for a few nights, its excellent. Some of... More

We stayed for two nights in this Charming country estate and its really excellent staff. Set in beautiful gardens. Our room was very spacious and elegantly decorated with our own patio area and garden which lead down to a lake with woodland at the back. Dining time for dinner was set in advance and you pre-order dinner at breakfast time.... More

We had a great time here, the food and service were great. The owners gave us great advice where and what to see in the area and there's actually an elephant park right opposite the road leading to the property. We celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary in SA and they went to the bother of setting up a private dinning... More

The warm welcome on arrival was just the start of a wonderful stay at Lairds Lodge. The furnishings and decor are beautiful and stylish throughout, and the hosts are friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the comfortable and spacious garden rooms, with a patio opening onto a lawn facing a small lake with woodland beyond. On the first... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth. Don't let the location put you off - it's not acutally on the N2 - the lodge is tucked away, off a gravel drive and set in lovely grounds. The staff and owners are very welcoming and keen to ensure you have a wonderful stay... More

What a gorgeous boutique hotel, set close to Plettenberg and Storms River. We stayed in a suite which accommodated our family of 2 plus 2 (aged 5 and 23 months) perfectly. The rooms are beautifully appointed in contemporary African wares. The food here is amazing and staff most friendly. Expansive, manicured gardens. Lovely spots on the terrace or reading rooms... This was our second trip to Lairds and our experience was just as good as the first time. The rooms and the grounds are fabulous. The lodge (read Country House) is beautiful. The weather when we visited was awful, but the lodge was always warm and welcoming with candles, lamps and log fires burning. The food is amazing and we... More

We stayed here for two nights on the recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed. Our room was spacious and luxurious with its own outside seating area. The grounds and pool area were exceptional. The staff were truly welcoming and could not do enough for us. In the morning we received superb guidance from the reception staff to help... More

If you want something special along the Garden Route we can certainly recommend Laird's Lodge. The reception you get from the staff will give you the feeling that this is going to be a great place to stay. You can go out for meals, however, try them here and you will not be disappointed with the meal and convivial company... More
