I had high hopes for Mas de Clos as all the reviews on here were amazing... and I wasn't disappointed. We had a wonderful three night stay in the Ventoux room (which Charles and Andree upgraded us to at no extra cost - that gives you an idea of the level of hospitality you can expect.) It was a stylish,... More

We spent a very nice week in the Mistral apartment. The weather, unfortunately, was not the best this May in France, but we were able to enjoy our experience anyway - in part because we had a nice place to stay as our base for many day trips in the region. Andree and Charles were gracious and relaxed and gave... More

Charles and Andree were wonderful hosts and the Mas du Clos nestled away from the main road surrounded by a vineyard. The wine tasting tour Charles took us on was fantastic, and he spent the better part of 8 hours driving us throughout the Cotes du Rhone valley as well as providing a history of the wine culture in the... We stayed at Mas du Clos de l'Escarrat for three nights of a twelve-night trip through Provence and Pedmonte. We had no difficulty finding the Mas with our GPS, and it looked exactly as expected from the website. One thing not seen on the website are the acres of vineyards that surround it. We arrived earlier than the check-in time... More

Jo I'm so amazed by the time you have taken to describe all your activities while you were staying at le Mas du Clos de l'Escarrat. Just wanting to correct that the railroad tresel has now been transformed into a bike and pedestrian only road. Merci beaucoup when you state that Charles "went above and beyond to help us.". I... Lovely setting close to everything, cosy cottage, no TV or wifi in room and very hard to get wifi in the garden too as stated on the website, we would of liked to do the wine tour but didn't get the opportunity...thanks to Andre for being the perfect host.

Thank you very much for your review. No more TV's in rooms because we don't have cable TV in the rooms and therefore TV in French is not necessary for English speaking guests. Wifi works well in the garden but not in the rooms because of 2ft thick walls of a 17th century farm house... But we LEND for FREE... More

Just spent 2 days at Mas Du Clos De L'Escarrat and had a wonderful time. Charles and Andree are exceptional hosts and the wine tour could not be beat. We accessed very private cellars and tasted 20 different wines. Be sure to stay for dinner! I thought the tour was a bit pricey when I found it online but it... More

Brian and Sandy have been wonderful guests at le Mas du Clos de l'Escarrat, always smiling and wanting to learn about Rhone Valley wines. YES I admit that my wine tour seems at first sight to be expensive... But it is not a bus tour. It's a private tour. Moreover the full wine tour with dinner lasts from 1:30 pm... More

This was our base of operations for a two week exploration of Provence, and it met our expectations in every way. Our apartment was compact, comfortable, and charming with a great little balcony overlooking the vineyards and Mont Ventoux. All of our day trips seem to be within an easy hour drive of the village of Jonquieres--Arles, Vaison de Romaine,... More
