the place doesn't look so good, it feels neglected and forgotten. the dorm beds are old, and the mattress is not really a mattress... i was there for only one night and escaped to somewhere nicer, and a bit more expansive, though I'm a low budget traveller...

Arriving late from the Peru border we checked into the first place that had vacancy. Valle Sagrado is right off the main street (noisy) with rooms set around in a green courtyard. Very nice owner, clean rooms, hot shower, ducks and horses on the property, one block from the plaza, warm blankets...Great value. I would recommend this place to solo travellers and couples.
