Ciudad Rodrigo itself is a wonderful town.. The Parador is simply outstanding. Take the special deal of tower visit drink and tapa for a bargain price. Make sure you take your camera. Service is outstanding and judging by the DB Aston Martin outside James Bond is. Regulars visitor.

Stopped here on our road trip. Welcoming staff showed us places to go in the town and settled us into a lovely balcony room. Ideal location for a walk round the old walls, the parador feels warm and friendly......sometimes these old castles don't! The room was nice and the breakfast typical. Typically good.

This is a medieaval castle converted into an excellent hotel. The dining room has a god view of the old roman bridge. The staff were friendly and helpful. you have your own tower and battlements to discover.
