This holiday park is nothing special. The reception was not very detail oriented. They charged us a different price than what was indicated on their website, even after I confirmed the price via email. You have to pay $5 for showers, which is lame.

We stayed in one of the bunk rooms at Glenorchy Camping Ground for one night before going tramping. It was basic but we had everything we needed: comfortable beds in a clean room; good kitchen, shower and toilet. Despite us arriving after reception had closed, staff were very helpful in instructing us how to find and access the room. The... More

Was a bit worried about this place after reading the reviews on here. We paid $46 for a double room which was the cheapest accommodation through our whole trip. Its a cosy little room but the bed was a bit worn. Other than that its good value for the price and its location. Owners were friendly and helpful

Kitchen, toilet and showers are clean but dated. Enough kitchen equipment available. Outside there are 4 bbq's and 6 picnic tables. Quiet place to spend the night in a campervan. It's nice to see all the mountains around the camping.

Need to say up front we were in a campervan and not in a cabin (which did look a bit small). However we really enjoyed our stay in Glenorchy, a real antidote to the "extreme-ness" of Queenstown. There is no-where to look that isn't spectacular. The park is a small one with beautiful trees and chooks! Make sure you do... More

I stayed in the cabin. It looks very old. Even the door is rusty and you need to pull a bit hard each time to open or close it. The pillow is not soft. The cover is made from PVC, easier for them to wash it I guess, but not comfortable to sleep. The window is broken, but they just... More

Lovely location. Communal kitchen facility clean and adequate. Ladies showers clean but did not have hot water in one of the blocks. We stayed in one of the old cabins, I wouldn't book one of these again, old, dark and dingy, I don't think these are used much so there were many spiders in our cabin. There were some newer... More

The scenes to get there are outstanding, located right at the end of Glenorchy Road. The premises are adequate, kitchen and bathroom (small) but facilities clean. We found the owners a little bit rude. Maybe they were just having an off day.
