Very helpful, friendly and efficient management, from email while booking, and throughout our stay. Cosy rooms, great Orafu and sauna, tasty healthy breakfasts. Rob organized everything we needed flawlessly, had great suggestions on everything from rentals to travel, lift passes, restaurants... you name it. Service above and beyond the call of duty. More

Second visit already to Northfield Lodge and it keeps getting better. Austrian, australian and japanese food with german, finnish, japanese, austrian and australian people and dancing cuban salsa. A great experience! And sauna and ofuro are the best after a cold day in powder. More

I enjoyed my stay at this lodge. Before arriving I appreciated the exchange of emails with the owner / manager Rob on offering to arrange the bus transfer from the airport (with clear instructions on where to catch the bus) and arranging a lift pass. Was meet at the Niseko welcome centre near midnight, having flown in by JAL from... More

My husband and I have had the most incredible stay at the North Field Lodge - the location was perfect for us, only 10 minutes walk to the main village and very well serviced by buses. All the staff at the lodge are wonderful people and look after you really well. A good hearty breakfast in the morning really sets... More

2nd time in Niseko and decided to stay a bit further out of Hirafu. North Field Lodge is in East Village Niseko (Izumikyo), 5mins by shuttle from the Hirafu Gondola and Welcome Center. The area is more peaceful than the town, with some good restaurants nearby. If you are worried about being too far from the slopes, don't be -... More

We feel very lucky to have chosen this lodge to stay in. Working in this lodge is the friendliest Austrian born mountain man called Juregen. He's a ski instructor and he's passionate about passing on his knowledge of skiing. If he had learnt to ski before he could walk it wouldn't surprise me at all! He took me and my... More

From the moment we arrived we were made welcome by Rob and the Staff at North Field, with suggestions for dinner, organisation of discounted snow gear and lift tickets right away so we could hit the slopes as soon as possible. After fuelling up on the great western breakfast and hitting the slopes all day it was great to return... More

Stayed for three weeks and had a great time. The hotel/lodge has a mixture of western style with Japanese customs like its own onsen style area to relax in after a day on the slopes. We got a full breakfast every morning that easily fuelled you up for a hard day out on the slopes. The staff were always attentive... More

We had a great week at North Field. Nothing was too much trouble for Rob and the rest of the team. Rob organised our transfers from Chitose as well as lift passes and it all worked seamlessly. The lodge is comfortable, the rooms are smallish (but hey, this is Japan), the beds were comfortable and there was everything you'd need... More
