We spent two nights here late September and really enjoyed this lovely under-rated area. Having visited many areas of France over the years, we think the Seine-Maritime region is almost as nice as the Loire. The B&B was clean and well-presented with tea & coffee making facilities in the room, plus a hair dryer. The owner was very welcoming -... More

This was the first time I had stayed at a Chambre d'Hote and I was very impressed. The room is the same standard as a good hotel with ensuite etc and a much lower cost particularly as it includes a good breakfast. Free parking and near Jumieges, an important ancient abbey site, and also near the Seine and Rouen, and... More

We stopped here overnight on the way home from Brittany having read other reviews. Unfortunately we can't really add anything to these, uniformly excellent, comments. The rooms are spotless and well equipped, meals are enjoyable and unique and Mme Houelle a wonderful hostess. Our only additional comment concerns getting there as the best route is not clear -beacuse Jumieges is... More

We have lost count as to the number of times that we have stayed with Francoise. As usual the room was clean and very comfortable. The best thing about staying here is the food. Francoise never ceases to amaze me as to how she cooks and plates up the food in front of you chatting away to guests. She is... More

There has been so much praise heaped on this lovely B&B and it is not in the least misplaced. We stayed here for one night on our way from Cherbourg to Cologne as our stop over. The evening meal was just stupendous (and we met some very nice guests as well) and the great breakfast was not typically French! The... More

We stayed here for one night, Francoise was really lovely and very welcoming, she cooked us an evening meal which was excellent. Our room was very clean and not a bad size, shower room very clean and roomy, decorated to a modern style, we had a TV and WiFi, and Tea & Coffee facilities, which is unusual in France. We... More

We stayed at Au Temps des Charises for three nights in September (I suspect we were the Australian couple discussed in "Rural Perfection"). This place is a real eye opener for the quality and comfort of our stay. Our room was modern, clean and had good quality complimentary WiFi. Francoise is an amazing host who exudes warmth and charm (she... More

We overnight-ed at this most excellent establishment, and would gladly have stayed longer. On arrival after a fairly long day's drive we were greeted warmly by Francoise, shown to our very nice looking room, and, before we knew it, established in the garden with a bottle of home brewed cider - this is Normandy, after all. The room was of... More

Francoise was absolutely lovely, she does not speak English but is very patient and explains everything by showing you. The bed was comfy and the room was pristine. The bathroom was fantastic with plenty of space. The location is just outside Jumieges and is perfectly beautiful and quiet. Francoise served a beautiful breakfast, you want for nothing it was delicious... More

This B&B is located away from the centre of Jumieges and its famous abbey, in a quiet spot surrounded by neighbours' gardens. It is a recently constructed purpose-built home but built in the classic Normandy half-timbered style, like its neighbours. It's in strolling distance of a small bar/bistro if you don't take the table d'hotes dinner and don't want to... More
