We have just had our wedding reception there and all the staff were really helpful and friendly and everything went so well.
The hotel is suited to the people looking to stay somewhere in a piece of history as the building is centuries old and has so much character but obviously does not carry the facilities of the modern "average...

I did not have seafood I had soup twice and beer in the pub. The place seemed to have an odd old odor. I don't think I would have enjoyed a stay in an room however with that ancient odor. I was able to peek into a room of a fellow tavern attendee staying there.

Thankfully we were only passing through on our way to Skye. The position of the hotel is fantastic - wonderful views of the lochs, but that is where it stops. We were shown 2 rooms and chose no 12. The curtains were too short and luckily it wasn't a cold night. The toilet seat was cracked, we didn't fancy using...

We were given Room 1 (that was after the landlady eventually found our name pencilled in her nearly empty diary)
It turned out to be a small, possibly single sized, room with a badly self assembled double four poster bed diagonally across it. There was just enough room between the end of the bed and the corner of the en...

We held our wedding reception here and Raymond, Caroline, family and staff could not of been more helpful, including them keeping the bar open until gone 3am. All the planning was done over the phone and email so could have caused problems but everything went smoothly. The meal for our wedding reception was excellent including all the table decorations. We...

Judging by the reviews of this hotel you are either going to love this place or hate it, for me I hated it. This was to be the highlight of my Scottish holiday staying at the Loch Duich Hotel in the honeymoon suite with a balcony view overlooking Eilean Donan Castle. Sadly this hotel was a massive disappointment and should...

I visited this hotel in the 70s with my parents - it was the great treat of the holiday and I still remember the Scottish breakfast, the light and airy decor and the great view.
The great view is still there -of Eilean Donan castle and the 'bridge over the Atlantic'. This is a perfect location.
The hotel (now a...

Reading over other people's experiences of the Loch Duich Hotel, it seems to be the sort of place you'll either love, or be completely disappointed by. It would appear that many people have a long term, very positive, misty eyed relationship with the place - either they got married there, or have been staying there for years and years, or...

It had a good view. End of the good bit. It looked tired from the outside and it went downhill from there. A youth was on a computer and his mobile phone, ignoring us. We rang the bell 3 times before he ran off to get someone. There was indifference to our arrival and no conversation, other than "here are...
