Two outstanding features were the price (which for Manchester was exceptional given its over-inflated view of itself in terms of hotels) at under £50 per room and a most helpful Receptionist who was very welcoming and fixed two small problems quickly and efficiently. For the rest it is what it is. I had a Standard Room which was standard. View... More

Stayed here the weekend of the Manchester marathon as myself and my husband were both running, The location was perfect, 5 minute walk from the start/finish line. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Not the biggest of hotel rooms but adequate. Tea/ coffee facilities readily available. We had the breakfast included in the stay. It was nice and a good selection... More

An overall great place to stay Very good value and close to old Trafford football ground and the metro for visiting the rest of Manchester. Good size clean rooms and a very acceptable continental breakfast included in the price. Very helpful staff as we rang to check that the roads were accessible as it had snowed quite heavily the night... More

This hotel is one of my favourites if nothing else than to watch the cricket, we visit every year to watch a few one day games at Lancashire and will be going again on 20 May 2013. Only stay in an executive room as they are the ones with the pitch facing balconies, the rooms are basic but other than... More

Pleasant surprise I was booked in to the Old Trafford Lodge by a colleague and I must say I was slightly apprehensive of the rooms which I believe double as private boxes when the cricket is on. I had absolutely no need to worry the rooms were well appointed and I got a good nights sleep and a nice hot... More

It felt like I'd had about two hours sleep as the people in the room next to me stayed up most of the night talking (not loudly, particularly), the walls are just so thin. I am usually a very good sleeper but this ruined me for the next day when I was meant to be concentrating. It's not the first... More

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Got a great deal through laterooms.com which meant we were staying in an executive room. This means you get a balcony (which we didn't use - too cold) with a view over the cricket pitch. A reasonable sized room, double bed, sofa, flat screen tele (shame it wasn't on a swivel), tea/coffee making... More

I stayed in a Executive Double in March 2013 and would recommend for anybody to stay here. I was attending a Gala Ball at The Point so the location was excellent with only a few minutes walk. Its a little out of Manchester City Centre but if you need to be near Old Trafford Cricket Ground then this is the... More

Stayed here for a night and the staff were really friendly. The hotel was lovely and clean and the carpark very secure. The room was well equipt including an iron and ironing board! Free skysports as well which was good! Breakfast was very nice and set us up for the day! Would stay here again!

Hotel room nice and clean, self-service continental breakfast was good (no restaurant but staff were very knowledgeable about local eateries and happy to arrange taxis) but what made the Old Trafford Lodge stand out for me was the excellent service from staff who were very warm, friendly and efficient. . In particular, Michelle Mayo, who told us we had paid... More
