We arrived in Coynachie a little too early to check in so decided to do one of the circular walks in the surrounding woodland. I would highly recommend this; the views were stunning and it provided an opportunity to see all the native species of trees that have been planted in the recent years. When we arrived at Coynachie, we... More

Spent 4 nights at Coynachie and couldn't have been more comfortable or better served if we'd stayed at the Ritz. Snowing and bitingly cold outside, warm and welcoming inside. Breakfasts delicious and bedrooms very comfortable and civilised. Visitors must visit the coast a short distance to the north. Delightful fishing villages and glorious beaches. The perfect holiday destination any time... More

We stayed one night and could not fault the facilities, welcome and service. Room was newly renovated to an exceptionally high standard - not at all fussy - just classically elegant. Shower room was stunning Breakfast was made really special by the roaring wood burner and was excellent quality and quantity. Really good value for money including fresh roses (in November)... More

We stayed two nights at the Coynachie Guest House and would have loved to have stayed longer. The house is in a truly beautiful and peaceful rural but accessible location, and we could not have received a warmer welcome. The Foxglove bedroom and bathroom were of very high standard and the breakfasts were magnificent. Fiona gave us some useful tips... More

We followed the clear directions provided and found ourselves in a peaceful countryside location. A warm welcome from Fiona and a tour of our accommodations was a fine start. The rooms we booked (Primrose Room and Red Campion Room) were lovely - beautifully decorated with fantastic modern bathrooms. In spite of the pastoral setting, it is short trip into Huntly... More
