Recently stayed two nights and loved it. Very comfy bed, brilliant shower and great food - who could ask for more? On top of that, staff who are really helpful and TALK to you (this from the moment I rang to book) and a rare place where we felt our dog was welcome, not just tolerated. Breakfast offers just about... More

A group of 4 of us were bowled over by the 'can do' smiling service offered by all the exceptional staff at this lovely waterside pub - (Aaron nearly fell over himself attending to our needs!) - an open fire outside a nice touch - and a great selection of grub too. The following day we called by after a... More

Have stayed he four or five times unable to fault this great pub/hotel, my stays have been based around busines and although a little remote this makes it all the better for the relaxing atmosphere and surrounds. The food is excellent, all the staff are friendly and helpful, in all a great place to stay, I would also reccommend this... More

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of May 2011 and enjoyed our stay from first to last. The staff were friendly and helpful and in fact went out of their way to help us on more than one ocassion. The room was much better than those we have previously experienced in the UK. It was very comfortable, clean... More

As a first stop on a romantic christmas tour we were thrilled with this Inn. Set right opposite the river it was stunning in winter. Although it was quiet due to the time of year (the week before christmas) the staff were so friendly and welcoming. It proved to be a wonderful base for walking and exploring the area. We... More

Just the perfect place to stay, made to feel at home, nothing too much trouble, pub accommodation that goes that little bit extra. Excellent food, to match any of the restaurants in the area. Highly recommend this little gem in it's peaceful surroundings. Even the pub dogs are a pleasure to be amongst. It's a chocolate box setting. More

Visit this pub and you certainly won't be disappointed, in a lovely setting by the river and a nice friendly place where you are made most welcome. We enjoyed a delicious lunchtime meal there today and also with friendly prompt smiley service from the staff. (a rarity in this day and age). We ordered the Burger and Cottage Pie, both... More

Stayed for 5 nights with a friend and had a great time. In good weather you can sit out by the river with drinks or meals. The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom modern. Only thing I didn't really like was the shower over the bath which was a bit restricted. We hadn't planned to eat in the... More

We stayed in this delightful hotel as part of a group of 10 celebrating a 50th Wedding Anniversary. The hotel, bar and restaurant fully meet the high expectations set by its idyllic setting and outside appearance. The food was excellent, both in quality and quantity - my compliments to the chef. The staff were amongst the friendliest and helpful I... More
