i stayed at the Lion as it was convenient for the various attractions and museums at Ironbridge. I really enjoyed the two days I spent here. The bedroom was fine - clean and comfortable with a fourposter bed, good television and comfortabole chair. The en-suite was of a similar excellent quality with a really good shower. Very warm welcome from the owners, staff was A+++. Our room was spotless and plenty of room, a nice big bed! (Very comfy) Justed like home from home. You must try there food, talk about huge portions there not for the faint hearted!!!! Will stay again defo............ More

We stayed for 3 nights. Behind the rather tired front door is a real gem. The owners were welcoming, and genuinely keen to make our stay enjoyable. Our room was clean and warm with a huge bed. A great find, slightly off the beaten track for the Ironbbridge Gorge museums, but close to the Pipeworks Museum (clay pipes) [check opening times] This is a typical midlands hotel. A warm welcome, family run, friendly, decent food, huge portions, comfy beds and peaceful. Tinned tomatoes were a surprise at breakfast - I;d forgotten we were in the midlands! More
