We stayed two nights and could not have asked for better accommodation. The room was spacious and comfortably furnished and the bed had an excellent mattress. We had breakfast and an evening meal and were delighted to be served tasty home made food. Nancy's home made jams are especially good. We used the bicycles for a trip to Grandcamp Maisy... More

This well-kept townhouse built in the 1880s provides perfect accommodation if you're exploring La Manche. The breakfast is nutritious, filling and mainly home-made and the rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished. If you spend a lot of time scrubbing down your children, ask for room number 5!

Exactly what I was looking for our 2 night break, a traditional French property with traditional decor. Very friendly owner, exceptionally clean well looked after rooms with the attention to detail not normally found in France. Travelling on motorbikes, the secure parking was a bonus in their garden. Only except cash payment so don't get caught out, I did.

breakfast was delicious! Everything home made, fresh fruit, croissants and bread still warm... Rooms were silent, clean and nice interior. Location is perfect, between omaha and utah beach. Next to a big road, but no noice. Great service

We stayed for two nights at this B & B in Carentan, using it as our base to visit the D-Day beaches. Our room was large with two beds and a nice bathroom. There were a number of small amenities in the bathroom to make our stay more enjoyable. The bed was reasonably comfortable (we both have bad backs). The... More

We stayed 2 nights while on a self-guided cycling tour. The operator had made our reservations for us, so I hadn’t done any previous research on where to stay (unusual for me). What a great choice our operator made! Our hostess, Nancy, offered outstandingly good service and because of this we would highly recommend staying here. Not only did she... More

We stayed a couple of nights in this B&B and enjoyed it very much. Nice, cosy room with large, good bed and excellent breakfast with everything homemade (which isn't very common in France...unfortunately). An excellent place from which you can visit all the main D-Day sights. Nancy is a great hostess and speaks fluent English. Would definitely recommend this place.

Stayed two nights and found it quaint and peaceful. We used this as 'home base' while touring the Normandy WWII sites and landing objectives. Carentan is almost in the middle of everything. There was free off street parking. Nancy the host was very friendly and chatty with us and offered wonderful suggestions for dinner. The breakfast was wonderful, fresh croissants,... More

The owner and operator, Nancy, was very friendly and courteous. She & her husband made great hosts. Since it was the low season when we visited, we had the place to ourselves, but I'm sure Nancy treats all of her guests with the same hospitality we received. Since we were staying more than one night, we had quite heavy suitcases... More

B&B Normandie - Chambres d'Hotes de Carentan. Different names, same place. We stayed here 2 nights in June 2010 during the week of the D-Day celebrations. We did have a locked garage for our tandem (we were doing a 'credit card' bike tour and not camping), and Nancy was kind enough to dry our rain-soaked bike clothes. Breakfast was nothing... More
