we stayed at The Masons Arms, Odcombe on Friday 7th June, 2013. We decided to breakup our journey from Padstow and wanted a traditional country pub. What a great decision to choose this wonderful pub. Its just a couple of miles off the motorway and Yeovil, but in a lovely village, with a great country feel. It also has camping... More

The Masons Arms was a gem of a find. It is in a good location in a beautiful quiet village. Our bedroom was very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant was very good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have their own micro brewery with really good beer. It was good to sit out in the garden... More

Great pub with good bed and breakfast accommodation. The room was spacious and clean and we particularly welcomed the complimentary drinks in the fridge. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was great - huge walk-in shower! Had drinks in the garden in the sunshine and then headed inside to eat. Evening meal was good and lots of choice at breakfast.... More

The Mason’s Arms makes a very good spot for a stop in this part of the world. Accommodation (or at least ours) is in a purpose built extension at the rear of the building. Our ground floor room was of decent size with a well finished (if somewhat dimly lit) bathroom and room for a small desk and two armchairs.... More

The rooms, which are at the back in an extension are very high spec, the furniture and fitments are good, the staff friendly and the food great - breakfast and evening meal. What more could you ask for?

We booked Sunday lunch here as it was near to the venue for a wedding that we were attending. The food was excellent; we had the roast beef and the lamb's liver, both cooked to a very high standard. It was shame that we had to rush off, as it would have been lovely to have had time to relax,... More

We had a nice room well equipped with a walk in shower. Well away from the pub it was quiet our night (not sure about in the summer as the beer garden was outside the window). The food was wonderful in the evening and Kate was very friendly. Breakfast was home made and much better than a large hotel would... More

I am glad you enjoyed your stay and I'm really sorry if I wasn't my usual bubbly self but happy that Kate looked after you. She see's her job here as part of her social life so she's always a pleasure to work with! More

This place is a very good value bed and breakfast. The room was nice, with modern facilities and a good shower room. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was superb. All in all, it was excellent value. We would return if in the area again.

Stayed here for 1 night ahead of a meeting and this place is a real find. Smart, well appointed room with great bathroom and a really comfortable bed. Dinner was really good - fresh scallops and Brixham plaice cooked perfectly and friendly service - would not stay anywhere else if I go back to this area

We stayed one night en route to Devon. Having read the reviews beforehand I had high expectations and wasn't disappointed. The room was very comfortable and spotless. There were even two chairs to relax in whilst supping the complimentary beers. Lots of thoughtful touches - two bath robes for example. The pub itself is old and cosy. It was packed... More
