Never again! The first room we were given had so many issues we were moved to another one. The shower control fell off into the bath narrowly missing my feet. no plug in the wash basin and despite the temp. dropping to 2 degs. at night we had no heat in either bedroom or bathroom. Unknown to us, our bill... More

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, my dad booked a room for me and my girlfriend when we travelled a long way for a birthday party. Which he paid 60 pounds for. When we walked to back to the room in the evening, the front door was locked which we had a key to get in... More

When we booked this hotel, we were not told that there was a disco on until 3 am! We had been to a wedding nearby, and on return at 12am, we asked the bouncer what time the disco/club would finish. He assured us it would be 1.30am. What a lie. The pounding music went on until 3 am and when... More

I have not stayed at this hotel but was there for business use. The owner provided a large room and stationery where we could conduct our twice yearly offsite company meeting between the senior management. Bar was very well stocked and surprisingly quite a few ales on tap. We had a lovely buffet for lunch but the most impressive food... More

We had the pleasure of staying in room 10 over the past weekend (28 Jan); the hotel is full of character and the staff were very pleasant. We had been warned in advance of a party which was due to go on until 2am, but this didn't affect us in any way. The room we were given was a decent... More

I recently stayed 2 nights on business in room 8, the hotel is noisy and in dire need of a lick of paint & dragging into this century, i know it's an old hotel but your charged modern prices. The service is pleasant and helpful but the food was well below par, first evening i ordered a mixed grill, the... More

Business took me to Ampthil for a Tuesday night stay. I got a warm welcome and a charming room, number 10. I ate in the Thai restaurant and the food was great. The real ale served in the bar was first class. Good nights sleep followed by a decent breakfast. If you are coming to this area and looking for... More

Stayed here with 3 other rugby fans, couldn't fault it, good beer, rooms & breakfast. Noise from disco & downstairs bar not noticeable in our rooms. Good recommendation for the Drovers Arms for a great curry! More

Stayed on a friday night after a long drive and a day of meetings I was very tired, however the opportunity to sleep didn't happen after about 3am due to the noise from both the bar and the bar behind the hotel (part of the same building). Breakfast was ok, served without any pleasantries though. I would not stay at... More
