Points of Interest

1. Upper Works Allen Trailhead

No fee to park here but make sure you fill out any available trail register as you will be going off maintained trails to climb this peak.

2. Lake Jimmy Views

Some views over Lake Jimmy along with some nearby trail photos.

3. Mt. Adams Trail Junction

This trail will lead up to the summit of Mt. Adams. Save this for another day and keep following the track in this guide along old forest roads around the lakes.

4. Forest Roads Through Woods

This is what makes this mountain such a trek. You have miles and miles of flat walking through forest roads and paths on your way to just the base of Allen. From here I don't have many trail photos unfortunately but the track is very accurate so use a good gps or your phone with pre-downloaded maps to find your way up Allen.

5. Summit of Allen

You have found your way to the toughest of all the Adirondack 46 4,000 foot peaks. You are at 4,347 feet and although it is a wooded summit there are limited views on the way up and through the trees.
