1. Shasta County Arts Council - 1313 Market Street

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Affectionately known by locals as Old City Hall. Built in 1907 of native clay brick; the building style is Simplified Romanesque Revival. Restorations were made in 1987 and it is currently used as an art gallery and theatre.

4. Cascade Theatre - 1731 Market Street

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1935 as a 1,348 seat movie palace and vaudeville stage. It closed in 1997. Was purchased in 1999 by Jefferson Public Radio who renovated and opened it to the public once again.

5. Redding Library - 1100 Parkview Avenue

In 1903 the Redding Carnegie Library at 1527 Yuba Street opened to give public library service to the city of Redding. In 2007 the new main library in Redding opened at 1100 Parkview Avenue, funded by a state grant and matching funds raised by Shasta County citizens.

6. Schreder Plantarium - 1644 Magnolia Avenue

This multi-media science education facility provides student and community education in Astronomy and Space Science. The beautiful, domed theater features digitally created sights and sounds including full-dome images, all-dome video, real time 3D computer graphics, and complete digital astronomy.
