The name HAMBUR Loop comes obviously from HAMilton - BURlington as it passes through both of these great cities steeped in history and tradition. It also closely relates to one of Hamilton's other nicknames: The Hammer, which reflects its rich history as a steel town.
This route also follows very closely to the Hamilton Marathon route, which is the oldest marathon in North America.
